Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager Material Master Lead

The Material Master Lead is responsible for overseeing material master data activities to ensure data quality support maintenance operations and enhance the identification and management of parts. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders including SMEs engineers and key asset personnel to discuss and challenge material master requests.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Data Management:

Plan execute and oversee material master data activities.

Perform harmonization enrichment and deduplication of material master data.

Utilize industry standards (ISO UNSPSC) and taxonomy methodologies to drive data quality.

Cleanse data using material classification templates and populate missing information.

2. Technical Expertise:

Possess strong knowledge of SAP particularly in the Materials Management (MM) module including linkage to BoM equipment work orders material groups and lot sizes.

Analyze existing material master data against classifications to identify and populate missing specifications.

3. Project Support:

Provide technical expertise for projects related to master data such as MM cleanup and BOM cleanup.

Lead and focus on special projects aimed at data quality improvement.

4. Continuous Improvement:

Scope opportunities to enhance material master records for operational efficiency.

Stay updated on industry trends technologies and best practices.

Train and mentor junior technicians and staff on material master data best practices.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

Communicate effectively with the customer base on master data principles.

Demonstrate credibility through materials knowledge and challenge material master requests when necessary.

Experience:

Experience in maintenance engineering within the oil and gas or heavy industrial environments.

Extensive experience handling material masters related to equipment and spare parts of MRO material.

Experience in a shared services environment and working in multicultural settings is an advantage.

Candidate should be comfortable with 24*7 shift timings (Including weekend working)

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SAP Materials Management (MM) module.

Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in the oil and gas sector.

Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office tools especially Excel and Access.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problemsolving and analytical abilities.

Strong communication presentation and teamwork skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
