PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Technical Underwriter to join a leading insurance firm. This role involves assessing complex risks developing underwriting strategies and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to make datadriven underwriting decisions that support business growth.
DAYTODAY
- Review and underwrite complex risks following company guidelines
- Analyse data and market trends to create competitive underwriting solutions
- Work closely with brokers clients and internal teams to manage risk placement
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices
- Help develop underwriting guidelines and contribute to product improvements
- Provide technical support to junior underwriters and colleagues
SKILLS
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking abilities
- Clear communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to interpret data and market trends
- Problemsolving mindset with attention to detail
- Experience with underwriting software and digital tools
EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of underwriting principles regulations and market trends
- Experience working with brokers and clients to tailor underwriting solutions
- Familiarity with digital underwriting tools and datadriven decisionmaking
