Job Description

Regional Transportation Lead

Role Summary:

The Lead Regional Transportation is a key member of the Regional Distribution Team operating in a fastpaced dynamic environment to drive operational excellence customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for managing transportation partners while overseeing daytoday transportation activities at the Regional Distribution Center (RDC)including loading carrier assignment scheduling and ensuring ontime delivery.

This role reports to the National Transportation Manager.

Role Specifics:

  • Oversees performance of managed transportation partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and delivery of bestinclass service to customers.
  • Collaborates closely with the RDC team to coach mentor and resolve transportationrelated challenges that impact inventory flow and operations.
  • Ensures all business and customer requirements are met optimizing equipment use and managing timelines to consistently exceed 90 ontime delivery.
  • Conducts regular calls and site visits to TireHub Logistics Centers (TLCs) to stay informed on fieldlevel transportation issues especially those related to inbound freight. Leverages all necessary system tools and carrier relationships to monitor market rates and trends securing optimal transportation value for the organization and to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Develops maintains and communicates clear and effective standard operating procedures (SOPs) for transportation processes.
  • Leads or contributes to transportationrelated projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through inperson virtual or computerbased learning modules as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Finance or other related field preferred.
  • 35 years of transportation experience specifically working with managed freight partners.
  • Proficient in Transportation Management System (TMS) with a solid understanding of TMS capabilities and functionality.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks interpret data and develop effective datadriven solutions.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills including active listening influencing and the ability to communicate effectively to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and proven ability to lead motivate and support RDC/TLC teams while managing priorities in a time sensitive and demanding environment.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects meet deadlines and adjust to shifting priorities or unexpected challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate crossfunctionally with business leaders and peers to anticipate issues and deliver innovative operational and customer service solutions.
  • Track record of driving process improvement and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Actively seeks to expand knowledge and skills staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Skilled in Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • A valid Drivers license with at least 2 years of driving experience required 3 years preferred; Does not include time on learners permits).

Work Environment:

  • This is a fastpaced and dynamic operating
  • Most of the time is spent sitting constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move There may be occasions to move or lift light articles.
  • This role is based in our Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and requires regular onsite inperson presence.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10.

**Salary Range $109250 $132250**

**This is an onsite position located the Regional Distribution Center located at 1086 E. Mill Street San Bernardino CA 92408
