Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Derby (DE22
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Scale: 13.08 14.62 per hour
Contract Type: Fulltime Parttime DaytoDay Longterm
The Role:
Education World is seeking a confident and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in a school located in the DE22 area of Derby. This role focuses on working with students who may struggle with emotional regulation social interaction or behavioural challenges helping them to reengage with learning and build positive relationships in school.
What Were Looking For:
Experience working with young people with behavioural needs either in a school mentoring or youth work setting.
A calm and resilient approach to managing behaviour in a supportive and constructive way.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
An understanding of behaviour strategies and restorative practices (preferred but not essential).
A passion for helping pupils develop confidence resilience and improved emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing onetoone or small group behaviour support to identified pupils.
Helping students manage their emotions and behaviour both in and out of the classroom.
Supporting teachers with behaviour management strategies.
Building trusting relationships with pupils and acting as a positive role model.
Monitoring progress and contributing to behaviour support plans.
Supporting wider school inclusion and pastoral initiatives.
