What youll be doing

The Campus Data Centre (DC) Manager is responsible for leading all onsite data centre operations and services. This role involves managing and coordinating health and safety engineering facilities management security customer service teams with a mix of direct management and matrix leadership although ultimately with full ownership for all overall performance outcomes of the site. The manager will have full P&L responsibility and own the financial outcomes of the site. The DC Manager provides strong leadership ensuring compliance with company policies industry standards regulatory and legislative requirements and operational procedures. Additionally they are accountable for maintaining high service standards and ensuring the efficient delivery of all site functions.

• Fostering a culture of service excellence and delivery across all teams
• Accountability for all people aspects on site to ensure compliance and delivery
• Responsibility for all aspects of Health Safety Environment & Wellbeing (HSEW) on the site(s)
• Contracted vendor management for the site(s)
• Oversight management and ensuring integrity of the operational setup and processes for daily routine running manging incidents change management continuous improvement and projects & upgrades
• Compliance to all legal and PDCG policy requirements
• Responsibility for meeting required standards in every respect
• Delivering to agreed performance metrics and targets
• Develop strong relationships with the customer and embed a culture of Service Excellence across individual teams
• Budget accountability for the site(s)
• Act as the local representative and ambassador for PDCG.
• Work closely with project management to ensure ongoing construction is delivered on time whilst eliminating operational risk
• Be available to work outside regular business hours at nights and weekends as required.

What were looking for Do you have:

• Experience in a similar role
• Experience of thirdparty contract management
• Previous experience in a similar data centre management role is desirable.
• Strong knowledge on data centre critical infrastructure (UPS Generator Chillers etc.
• A technical qualification (engineering) highly desirable
• Awareness of the business and technical issues associated with a managed service environment.
• Previous HSEW management experience (desirable).
• Experience in coaching mentoring training and developing a team both technical and nontechnical.
• Experience in dealing with the customer in highpressure and challenging circumstances.
• Experience in budget and cost management.
