The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) Division of Alaska National Guard Facilities (ARNG) is recruiting for an Airport Leasing Specialist Flex 1/2/3!
This position is in the General Government (GGU) bargaining unit and is flexibly staffed based on experience and/or training plan.

This position is open toAK Residentsonly.

Airport Training Specialist 1: Range 14 Biweekly rate: $1941.00
Airport Training Specialist 2:Range 16 Biweekly rate: $2229.75
Airport Training Specialist 3: Range 18 Biweekly rate: $2568.75

What You Will Be Doing:
As a new team member for the ARNG you will have the opportunity to progress through three levels with responsibilities ranging from entrylevel support in lease agreements and facility use under supervision to undertaking more complex tasks such as contract negotiation and administration at higher levels. Your role will involve drafting and managing leasing contracts determining rental fees and ensuring compliance while collaborating with military staff and commanders. Ultimately you will be tasked with providing independent oversight on complex agreements and supporting the Installation Status Reporting Manager in monitoring facilities enhancing your skills in a critical area of military real estate management.

The successful applicants must pass a federal background check in order to qualify for military base access which is required with this positions work location on base. The background check may include fingerprinting. All job offers are conditional pending successful completion of the federal background check and issuance of a Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS) card allowing base access. Also you must be able to maintain the clearance throughout your employment. If using a private vehicle this will require a valid Alaska Driver License proof of vehicle insurance and a valid State of Alaska vehicle registration.

State employees are guests on Joint Base ElmendorfRichardson; clearance and access are not within the States control. Due to updated Federal regulations you must have one of the following to obtain access to the Joint Base Elmendorf/Fort Richardson Military Instillation: A Real ID passport passport card or military issued ID.

Special Note:In addition in some cases employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). As part of the examination process a background check investigation including a criminal records check will be conducted. Conviction of a crime will not automatically preclude appointment. The circumstances involved in the conviction will be considered.
