Therapist CoResponder
Our Forensics Team working in tandem with lawenforcement officials to provide responsive outreach services for members of our community who may be struggling with mental health or substance abuse. The CoResponder is embedded with a local police department and will respond with officers to 911 calls for citizens who appear to have a mental health or substance use concern assisting in deescalation assessing for safety and evaluating for higher level of care risk and needs (housing food medications psychiatric services medical issues etc. with the goal of crisis stabilization.
- The CoResponder is also responsible for navigating relevant mental health substance abuse and medical services.
- Written referrals are also received from officers after a call for service.
- Primarily responsible for followup on written reports but may request the CoResponder make a facetoface outreach with law enforcement as this position provides behavioral health consultation biopsychosocial assessment counseling and evidencebased interventions to individuals groups and/or their families utilizing strengthbased and recovery models of service delivery.
- You will need to carry a work cell phone a 3in1 tablet/laptop and other applicable gear (tourniquet flashlight business cards PBT radio etc. with you at all times.
- Completion of an annual CoResponder Safety regimen that will cover topics such as officer safety officer rescue situational awareness selfdefense and firstaid.
- Participation and successful completion of the 40hour CIT Officer Training is required within six months of hire (this will be arranged for you).
- Follow all officer directives while onscene as they relate to safety and law enforcement.
- Must work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team including law enforcement officers to efficiently meet the needs of clients within the community.
- Coordinate care with the CoResponder Programs Case Managers and other AllHealth staff (Walkin Center Acute Treatment Unit psychiatric providers and outpatient personnel).
- Coordinate care with community resources behavioral health facilities and hospitals.
- Work with individuals until clearly linked with community providers who can assume ongoing treatment services.
- Accurate and timely documentation of interventions and any subsequent followup services. This includes record keeping required by funding sources and AllHealth Network.
- Interface with the local police departments to provide education about the CoResponder Program mental illness various interventions and other topics and services that are available to both law enforcement and the community.
- Be available for ridealongs with onboarding CoResponders Case Managers and AllHealth staff who request one.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with our law enforcement partners to include professional interactions feedback on referrals impact on the community and new or changed community resources.
- Follow all AllHealth Network policies and procedures as applicable to this position including those related to confidentiality release of information and record keeping.
- Complete and follow through with financial and clinical information necessary to ensure reimbursement for services provided to consumers by all payers.
- Demonstrate professional and courteous behaviors while interacting with any and all community services (hospital behavioral health facilities resources etc. to maintain and enhance our community partnerships.
- Attend all mandatory AllHealth Network meetings.
- Complete all mandatory trainings for this position your licensure and as directed by AllHealth and/or our law enforcement partners.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the position and within the experience of the employee as may be requested or required.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in social work psychology counseling disaster mental health or similar field of study.
- Must have experience working in crisis situations.
- Experience working in or with the Criminal Justice System.
- Licensure is required (LPC LMFT LCSW).
- Ability to operate PCbased software programs including proficiency in Word Excel and other computerbased systems.
- Possess advanced written and oral communication decision making and problemsolving skills and efficient time management. Excellent interpersonal skills the ability to work independently and as part of a team; collaborating with other internal and external teams.
Must possess own transportation have a good driving record a valid drivers license and proof of insurance.
Shift/Location:
Fulltime position
Four 10hour days each week with some flexibility around exact hours
Primary base of operations is in a local Police Department:
Greenwood Village Colorado Police Department
Pay Rate:
$3236/hr
$4/hr shift differential for hours worked between 5pm and 7am.
We also offer abilingual bonus of 10 per hourfor individuals who can substantiate Spanish language proficiency.
$5000 increase for LAC
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the AllHealth Network salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience education training merit and the ability to embody the AllHealth Network mission and values. The range listed is just one component of AllHealth Networks total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include shortterm and longterm incentives as well as a generous benefits package detailed below.
