Job Description

The position will be primarily based at Temple Health Womens and Family. However you may be required to occasionally rotate and perform services at both(a) Temple University Hospital Inc. 3401 N. Broad Street Philadelphia PA 19140; and (b) Temple Womens and Family 1331 E Wyoming Ave Philadelphia PA 19124 based on staffing needs at those locations.
Administers general regional anesthetics or Monitored Anesthesia Care during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures under the medical direction of an attending anesthesiologist. Evaluates situations and informs attending anesthesiologists of patients condition; recommends anesthetics to be used; techniques of administration and supportive measures necessary for approval by attending physician as required by departmental guidelines. Checks anesthesia machine and monitoring equipment supplies medication and anesthesia gases. Monitors and records the patients vial signs records all medication administered to the patient and related reaction and responses.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : Nursing (Preferred)
Experience
2 Years experience in an academic medical center OR as a CRNA. (Preferred)
License/Certifications
RNLIC PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
CRNA Cert Registered Nurse Anesth (Required)
BLS Basic Life Support (Required)
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
