A role in Sourcing means having a hand in developing products that have a positive impact on people and the planet. We integrate our sourcing capabilities with our propensity for quality and social responsibility to positively impact the cost and quality of our products. In Sourcing youll apply your apparel and accessories and/or home goods expertise to promote and apply responsible sourcing practices while driving the success and growth of Targets owned brands. The Sourcing team starts at the very earliest stages of product development builds out the costing models and tracks where product stands at every step in the production cycle from overseas shipping to our import warehouses distribution centers and stores. And since Target is indeed a global company youll be part of the team that manages global relationships in partnership with the buying team who shop for trends all over the world. Your ability to stay aware of our suppliers activities will help ensure compliance with responsible practices and youll have influence over which manufacturers Target chooses to work with. Youll be a close pointofcontact with Target team members in sourcing offices located in 20 countries around the globe and youll support their work as liaisons among buyers product developers and overseas partners.
As a Sourcing Manager you will work with a crossfunctional team including Target Merchants Planners and Product Design and Development to turn ideas into the merchandise on our stores shelves and on our online channels. You will be responsible for partnering with global sourcing and vendors to deliver highquality trendright merchandise at a great value to our guests. You will drive sourcing strategy to support global balance matrix optimization and help Target achieve our financial plans. It is critical in this role that you utilize negotiating skills and costing expertise to ensure quality/cost and deliver maximum bottomline value.

About you:
Fouryear degree or equivalent experience
5 years of relevant sourcing or merchandising experience
Demonstrated leadership skills including strategic thought and critical thinking
Ability to work with varying groups of people across the company to achieve business results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Strong analytical and financial skills
Ability to prioritize among competing deliverables and collaborate with and influence a broad group of partners and stakeholders
Ability to travel as needed
