The West Daly Regional Council covers 14000 square kilometres and is located about 300 to 420 kilometres southwest of Darwin. The area is mainly rural with three Indigenous communities at Peppimenarti Nganmarriyanga and Wadeye which are managed by West Daly Regional Council (Council).

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing high quality efficient and effective electrical services within the West Daly Region as required. The Electrician will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance installations and repairs on Councilowned buildings facilities and infrastructure within the Wadeye region. The role supports the delivery of safe compliant and efficient electrical services contributing to the overall functionality and safety of community assets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
completing projects to Australian and Trade standards of work on time and within set budgets;
assisting in the coordination of labour contractors plant and materials;
assisting in the planning scheduling coordinating and implementing daily activities and projects as required;
assisting in the review of practices and procedures to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for improvement; and
assisting other trades as and when required.
