Job Description
smartdept. is searching for a Graphic Designer for a public affairs industry client located in Washington D.C. (remote with East Coast hours). The ideal candidate will come with5 years of experience. This is a fulltime fully remote opportunity with the possibility of occasional weekend work.
The Graphic Designer will play a key role in producing highquality creative assets while contributing to the teams overall success. This role requires a positive attitude strong attention to detail and the ability to take direction and constructive feedback effectively. The designer will also be involved in administrative tasks such as tracking hours and attending meetings and must be comfortable with a fastpaced collaborative work environment.
What Youll Do:
- Design and produce graphics for ads presentations PowerPoint decks logos websites and print materials.
- Assist with print production performing quality checks to ensure deliverables meet high standards.
- Collaborate with the team to create visually compelling presentation decks and other materials.
- Track hours and maintain accurate records of project progress.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions to stay aligned with project goals.
- Accept and implement constructive feedback and edits to ensure client expectations are met.
- Communicate effectively with team members embracing a culture of overcommunication for clarity and alignment.
What Youll Need:
- 5 years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work (ads presentations logos websites etc..
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign).
- Familiarity with website design and tools like Figma SketchUp or XD.
- Experience with print production and quality assurance processes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and manage time effectively.
- Availability to work East Coast hours 8:00 AM 6:00 PM) with occasional weekend work as needed.
