The successful applicant will be initially assigned to the Total Reward team but is likely to work across the range of subteams within PCD and the wider Defence People Team. The main PCD work areas are:
Total Reward are also working closely with a separate team defining and implementing a true Spectrum of Service creating a more flexible workforce model that spans the current Regular Reserve and Civilian workforces. This supports Defences need to move towards a more imaginative workforce model that allows people to move more seamlessly between different commitment and employment types underpinned by a flexible reward framework to meet both organisational and individual needs.
Delivery Team: Innovation and HRAFI Release 1 Coordination. This team is coordinating initiatives aimed at enhancing both recruitment and retention across the Armed Forces. Release 1 has initially focused on elements of the engineering cohort and the delivery of a range of initiatives including the recently announced skillsbased supplement. Once evaluated the intent is for Release 1 measures to be rolled out across wider elements of Defence in time. The output will provide the sS with greater freedom of manoeuvre anddelegated authority within aconsistent frameworkto manage and incentivise their workforce within a workforce cost envelope.
Delivery Team: Military Policy and Process Optimisation. This team is focussed on work to modernise harmonise and digitalise the existing military People Policy and Processes to make them more user friendly easyto access and to ensure firm and accurate foundations for a cloudbased military HR solution to build upon. The project will ensure that policies conform to exemplar standards which reflect a modern Armed Forces supporting the Integrated Operating Concept and are compliant with the new HR Taxonomy structure.
PCD have adopted an Agile methodology across all teams.

This isaccountable to the SO1 Product Owner Hd PCD is the Second Reporting Officer.
Professional Effectiveness:
TaCoS must be established first. Applicants will undergo an initial eligibility sift. Eligible applicants will have their details forwarded to the Post Sponsor to arrange interviews.
Following interviews; the successful applicant will be informed that they are the Preferred Candidate with details being sent to the appropriate Reserves Career Management Cell who will continue the recruitment process. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly. Once the recruitment process is complete then the Preferred Candidate will be invited to take up the appointment.

Additional information:
Hybrid working is in place; however applicants must be able to work from MOD Main Building (or our offices in Scale Space White City) as required. Tuesday is the regular in office day for all personnel working in PCD plus other days as required.
This FTRS(HC) post is based at MOD Main Building and attracts Home to Duty (Manual) payments in accordance with JSP 752.
