Job Description
A wellestablished company in software and services is seeking a skilled Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a detailoriented professional with strong analytical abilities and experience in managing financial processes. Duties & Responsibilities
Location: Johannesburg northern suburbs
Salary: R 360 000 R 420 000.00 per annumKey Responsibilities:
- Overseeing supplier processing reconciliations and payment schedules.
- Ensuring VAT compliance including reconciliations and returns submissions.
- Managing taxrelated tasks such asprovisional and annual tax returns.
- Reviewing and maintainingpetty cash forex transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with thepreparation of supplier payments (local and international).
- Conducting revenue reconciliations and processing deferred revenue.
- Overseeing thefixed asset register stock adjustments and inventory reporting.
- Managingpayroll inputs commission processing and intercompany accounts.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and preparing monthly management accounts.
- Assisting withaudit preparations and financial reporting.
- Contributing tocash flow projections and budgeting.
- Ensuring accurate financial processing and reporting up totrial balance.
- Supervising a finance team and ensuring smooth operational .
Requirements:
- Arelevant accounting Degree.
- At least6 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong proficiency inMicrosoft Office (Excel Word Outlook and PowerPoint)andaccounting software (e.g. Pastel Sage or similar systems).
- Excellent knowledge of financial principles VAT regulations and tax compliance.
- Strongorganizational problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- High level ofaccuracy professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability toprioritize tasks work independently and meet deadlines.
