Position Role: Act as the RHQ RE forward functional lead at aligned Unit level for the day to day management and delivery of Royal Engineer Apprenticeships (RE AP) activity.
1. Act as the 39 Engr Regt Unit Apprenticeship Manager coordinating and administering the day to day management of Unit learners in support of their aligned Unit Apprenticeship Supervising Officer. This includes the delivery of Unit RE AP briefings inductions and enabling employer attendance on learner reviews.
2. Provide an apprentice coaching function to support and enable Unit apprentices to enable timely apprenticeship completion.
3. Coordinate and book learner Apprenticeship End Point Assessment (EPA). In the in the event of an EPA fail coordinate remediation activity iot deliver apprenticeship completion success.
4. Coordinate and book apprentice Functional Skills. If required compile and staff Basic Skills Development Mentoring (BSDM) requests for RHQ RE Apprenticeship Team subsequent staffing.
5. Conduct additional tasks in support of RE Apprenticeships or wider RHQ RE activity as directed.
Domestic Considerations: Incumbent will be expected to remain in post for a minimum of 3 years. Place of work will be 39 Engr Regt Kinloss. Incumbent will be expected to attend meetings and training at RHQ RE in Chatham.
Post holder must have training delivery and or professional learning and development experience including delivery of related assurance activity.
Previous attainment of the DTc (Army) Army Trainer Mentor and/or Defence Trainer Supervisor course qualification would be a distinct advantage to this post holder.
Post holder must be able to articulate thoughts in clear concise English both in verbal and written form.
Previous experience delivering military or civilian apprenticeships would be a distinct advantage to this post holder.

The Royal Engineers (RE) Apprenticeship programme is a large complex programme that currently encompasses 7 Apprenticeship Standards comprising a total of 13 distinct apprenticeship pathwayswith approximately 1300 on programme learners.
In the capacity of Unit Apprentice Manager the individual in this role will serve as the primary point of contact on behalf of RHQ RE for overseeing the daytoday management of RE Apprenticeship activities in direct support of their assigned Field Army Unit(s) ensuring the effective delivery of the RE Apprenticeship programme.
The incumbent will be responsible for regular communication with a wide range of key stakeholders involved in the Apprenticeship Programme including RHQ RE the contracted apprenticeship Service Provider End Point Assessment Organisations and other RE Units to facilitate the successful implementation of the RE Apprenticeship Programme.
Comprehensive training will be provided to support the individual in this role. This position is wellsuited for a Senior NonCommissioned Officer (SNCO) who can work autonomously and is dedicated to both their trade and the professional development of soldiers.
