The project and your role
We are looking for a Senior BI Developer to help support and modernize our enterprise reporting environment.
A key part of this role involves supporting our ongoing migration from SQL Server to Snowflake while building scalable BI solutions using Power BI and Microsofts data tools.
Responsibilities
- Support and optimize reporting solutions as part of our migration from SQL Server to Snowflake
- Design develop and maintain visually engaging and insightful reporting assets using Power BI
- Build and maintain robust data models and architectures that ensure scalability and performance
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions
- Deliver clear documentation including business and functional requirements data flows and architecture diagrams
- Stay current with evolving BI tools and cloudbased technologies
- Provide training support and guidance to internal teams and business users
Your skills
- Proficiency in building BI solutions using Power BI or similar tools
- Handson experience architecting data models including relational and star schema
- Strong knowledge of semantic models such as Tabular Multidimensional and Security Models
- Expertise in writing complex queries and stored procedures using TSQL and DAX
- Solid experience with SQL Server ; familiarity with Snowflake is a plus
- Exposure to Azure DevOps or TFS for issue tracking and Git for version control
- Comfortable working within Microsofts ecosystem (Azure Dynamics 365 Office 365 Power Platform)
- Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio SSDT DAX Studio Tabular Editor
- Strong communication and documentation skills for engaging both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with Snowflake databases
- Exposure to Azurebased cloud data solutions
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in BI environments
