We are seeking aSenior Systems Engineer to work onsite in Colorado Springs CO. This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

What You Will Do:

Specific tasks will include but are not limited to:

• The Systems Engineer will serve as a Network Development Engineer supporting build out and deployments to the operational environment as necessary. The candidate will work within an agile scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

• Previous experience working in Missile Defense Agency C2BMC Program.

• Experience planning deploying integrating and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. (with SCI eligibility)

• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• DODI 8570 Requirement: IAT Level II.

Technical Skills Required:

• Handson midlevel experience and knowledge of network design development and testing methodologies

• Understanding of the OSI Model TCP/IP routing protocols BGP and OSPF. Must have network traffic analysis diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Firewall experience especially Juniper Fortinet and Palo Alto Must have experience in UDP multicast SONET MSPP VLANs GRE Tunnels and TCP/IP network designs

• Hands on experience with multivendor switching routing (Juniper Cisco) WAN optimizer TACLANEs and optical transport equipment

• Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) including sensors shooters command and control systems and networks

• Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with network automation using Ansible

• Experience working with Missile Defense Agency

• Previous experience on the C2BMC Program

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
