About the Role:

10The Team:
We are seeking a skilled Java Application Modernization Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for modernizing existing 3tier Java applications and migrating them to the AWS cloud. Youll work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal performance.
Responsibilities And Impact:
In this role you will have the opportunity to work in an Agile team ensuring we meet our customer requirements and deliver impactful quality software. Using your technical skills you will contribute to code reviews design and implement complex solutions and support the business strategy.
- Collaborate with software architects and developers to assess existing Java applications.
- Design and implement modernization strategies including refactoring containerization and microservices adoption.
- Develop and maintain scalable secure and efficient solutions on AWS.
- Optimize application performance reliability and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application modernization.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Java development and AWS services.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
- 6 years of handson experience in Java application development.
- Proficiency in Java Spring Framework and Hibernate.
- Familiarity with writing queries to SQL and NONSQL databases
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2 S3 Lambda and RDS.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Soft Skills:
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker Fargate) is a plus.
- Experience with messagequeuing and hightransaction systems is a plus.
