Raytheon is seeking a candidate to join our Production Control organization in Plano TX. The successful candidate will transact and execute in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Shop Floor Control systems to ensure alignment between material availability production schedule and contractual requirements. The successful candidate must have effective communication skills an aptitude for innovative solutions and experience with MRP System signals processes and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. In this role the ownership and use of metrics will be key to maintain system health and drive the level of performance that will support customer expectations. The ideal candidate is expected to exude Raytheons key values facilitate conflict resolution and apply Raytheon process improvement principles in all areas of work.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements.
  • Plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules influence and drive changes in processes as necessary.
  • Prepare reports on works in progress and coordinate within and outside the value stream team to ensure on time release and closure.
  • Conduct inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) System.
  • Track status of material availability and potential production problems to ensure that personnel equipment and materials are available as needed.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance manufacturing purchasing engineering inventory control logistics and other groups.
  • Facilitate cross site hardware management
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
  • Perform movement of material to and from the warehouse factory pack/ship and or other areas as needed.
  • Ensure materials compliance through the adherence to company rules policies guidelines and audits applicable to the site influencing decision makers with recommended courses of action.
  • This will be an onsite role in Plano TX.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Systems
  • Experience with MS Office (Microsoft Excel Word and Power Point)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with SAP/PRISM based MRP systems.
  • Process Improvement experience(i.e. Six Sigma Lean etc) to improve internal departmental factory and crossfunctional processes.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and/or tools such as lean manufacturing diagnostic process optimization and continuous improvement
  • Business analytics experience that may include Power BI Tableau and/or Rapid Response Kinaxis
