Platform Operations Database Administrator for Servers and Microsoft SQL
UHaul is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the platform operations team as a Windows server and Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality be selfmotivated have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Additionally they will have experience working with Microsoft SQL database encryption and failover clustering.
Duties:
Managing SQL Server & Database access
Monitor and respond to SQL server performance degradation
Make optimization recommendations to SQL queries
Troubleshoot issues with applications connecting to SQL databases
Perform SQL server and database maintenance
Monitor database backups
Respond to capacity issues on database servers
Perform SQL upgrades
Participate in an oncall rotation
Requirements/Education:
23 years of experience with Microsoft SQL 2016 or newer. Duties could include those listed above
1 years of Windows Server experience. Duties could include patching managing access troubleshooting performance etc.
CentOS or RHEL experience preferred
Postgres experience preferred
A 2 year computer technology degree or equivalent work experience required
