Job Description
- Title: Electrical Engineer
- Location: Beltsville MD
- Pay: based on experience
The USACE NAB has a need for CMS services to support the construction of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) New Currency Production Facility (CPF) to be located in Beltsville MD. The new CPF will provide a modern secure and innovative facility for the manufacturing of United States currency for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing as well as other governmentissued documents certificates and other printed materials. The facility will occupy a 104acre site. The construction is comprised of a primary building with a footprint of approximately one million sq ft and a height of approximately 4050 ft along with a series of security screening buildings at the site entrance and sitework. The program consists of manufacturing hall and support spaces administrative offices and accompanying support and conference spaces laboratory/research spaces a warehouse vaults firing range a tour area for visitors and visitor/vehicle screening outbuildings. The construction contract will have a 3year duration with an enhanced 1year warranty period. During the warranty period the contract will be available for consultation to the Facility Maintenance (FM)/Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Contractor. BEP will phase in over 4years following Beneficial Occupancy Date (BOD).
Job Details:
- Attend and participate in an advisory capacity in meetings such as preconstruction and preperformance conferences quality control coordination meetings progress meetings or other conferences and meetings held between the Governments representatives and construction contractors or service providers.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to resolve construction issues
- Provide review comments on contract submittals pertaining to all contract specification requirements.
- Provide troubleshooting recommendations.
- Provide RMS citing specific deficiencies on technical submittals and plans.
- Perform and participate in the threephase inspection process.
- Prepare weekly status reports.
- 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering/MEP
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Within a daily commute distance to Beltsville MD
