Description

The purpose of the PGY1 residencies at Mayo Clinic Health System is to build on prior education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists who are responsible for medicationrelated care of patients with a wide range of conditions and eligible for board certification and continued postgraduate training as desired.



Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have matched with Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin MN through the ASHP Residency Match process

  • Experience: A minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. degree preferred.
  • Training: Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure in the state of Minnesota required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. American Society of HealthSystem Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency or equivalent major healthcare experience preferred.
  • Special Skills: Ability to distinguish between medications is required. Ability to differentiate between soundalike lookalike and to identify differences between drug labeling and intravenous (IV) solution coloring required.
  • Licensure & Certification: Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure in the state of Minnesota required.
