We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who is dedicated to both internal and external customers alike. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of mechanical principles and practical experience as it relates to industrial mechanical maintenance functions. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all functions necessary for plant maintenance in support of the overall site operations. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks including preventive scheduled and emergency mechanical maintenance and is a multicraft mechanic.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Identifies diagnoses and communicates issues that arise with equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all Piedmont Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Complies with company Health Safety and Environmental policies procedures and arrangements
  • Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance and records critical information appropriately
  • Performs daily activities independently (or with a team) with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with management
  • An organized neat selfstarter
  • Welding/fabrication skills a plus


Requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn
  • Basic electrical knowledge with 110/240/480volt power.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints diagrams specifications and manufacturer manuals and drawings.
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Ability to read understand follow and enforce safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of one or more building trades.
  • Lock Out / Tag Out Certification or willingness to obtain
