A Press Operator runs computercontrolled machines that bend form and shape design various materials according to blueprints and specifications. Their main duties include troubleshooting machines for any malfunctions or irregularities fixing machine parts as needed to ensure they operate properly and conducting quality checks on the machines.
We are in need of skilled Press Operators dedicated and hardest working individuals to join our team as a Machine Operator. Are you the type of person that likes to go to work every day and actually accomplish something Do you have the experience and skills to set up maintain and operate industrial machinery Can you read a tape measure down to a 1/16th and maintain tight tolerances because our jobs and safety standards require a high level of attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment
Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Knowledge of machining processes such as lathe laser cutting and plasma cutting
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is a plus
Ability to perform quality inspections using tools such as calipers and micrometers
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) principles
Responsibilities:
Show up on time and ready to work
Set up machines (calibration cleaning etc. to start a production cycle
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
Feed raw materials or parts to semiautomated machines
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Check output to spot any machinerelated mistakes or flaws
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs
