Description
Sherwood South Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is now hiring a FullTime Kennel Assistant to join their AMAZING team! This position would be ideal for students in the PreVet or Vet Tech fields.
Our ideal Kennel Assistant will:
- Feel strongly about providing highquality patient care
- Have a friendly & outgoing personality
- Thrive in a fastpaced environment and respond to challenges positively
- Be punctual and have weekend weekday and some holiday availability
- Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
- Not be afraid to get dirty!
- Have animal related experiencein a veterinary or shelter setting
Pet Resort Assistant Responsibilities:
- Prepare feed for animals according to specific instructions
- Record important information about the animals condition behavior and habits. Report any abnormal findings to a technician
- Be responsible for the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the clinic and property
- Assist with laundry and keep the area neat and organized
- Hold or restrain animals while assisting the Dr or Technician
- Alert a lead technician or the Dr of any abnormal findings with patients/boarders
