Why You Will Love this Job:
Basic Function:
Reporting to the Operations Director the Warehouse Manager ensures the organised efficient and tidy management of the companys warehousing and stock with efficient utilisation of the Warehouse Technicians and any other staff assigned to the warehouse. Additionally the Warehouse Manager is to manage any internal battery and DC distribution assembly works prior to product dispatch. A key aspect to this role is ensuring excellent collaboration and communication with the Projects team.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. The receiving of goods into and the dispatching of goods out of the company whilst maintaining accurate records within Navigator and the Goods in and out spreadsheets.
2. The routine checking of finished goods stock and consignment stock levels to ensure that they accurately reflect the companys stock records.
3. Physically inspect all deliveries to ensure they are in accordance with the Purchase Order and immediately highlight any issues to the supplier and Projects team in timely manner.
4. Maintain correct stock levels of UPS equipment from specified vendors.
5. Maintain the correct stock of consumables as required.
6. Manage the daily utilisation of the Warehouse Technicians.
7. Ensure all materials are correctly and safely stored and that the warehouse is a tidy and well controlled environment.
8. Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with the highest standards of Health and Safety
9. Manage the daily weekly and all periodic safety checks within the warehouse.
10. Management of stock rotation to ensure batteries do not become aged and unsaleable and that oldest stock is dispatched first.
11. Preparation battery installation and configuration of UPS equipment before dispatch when necessary.
12. Manage all works conducted by the facility management contractor.
13. To maintain close relationships work remotely from the Woodgate office one half day per week (Mon Wed).
14. Maintain First Aider and Fire Marshall qualification.
15. Ensure the relevant training for the Warehouse Technicians is maintained.
In addition to the above the Warehouse Manager is required to comply with all reasonable requests made by the Operations Director or one of the Companys Directors in his absence.
