Job Description

Royal IHC is a global market leader in the construction of Equipment at Sea. We are an important supplier of vessels and mission equipment for the dredging offshore defense and mining industry. IHC India is part of IHCs global network and is our foothold in India. With multiple IHC build vessels and equipment operational in India and sailing Indias rivers and seas. A lot of services upgrades and repairs are required. Our mission is to be the preferred supplier of equipment and services for the offshore dredging and mining industry in India.

To further strengthen the Commercial Team of Royal IHC in India we are hiring

Technical Sales Manager Dredging

Your Role:

As Technical Sales Manager Dredging you will be the expert and advisor responsible for sales of Royal IHC in India like vessel upgrades maintenance contracts engineering and training services and selling of additional equipment on the already existing fleet of Dredgers in the Indian market.

Establishing new relationships and creating new opportunities is your second nature. Together with our commercial team in India and account management team from the Netherlands team you will take the department to the next level and grow the business of IHC in India.

You will report to the General Manager India and help to unlock promising markets and identify demand for new services and products. As the Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • proactively approaching and visiting potential customers
  • translate customer needs to actions and come up with solutions for customer problems discuss these solutions with the customer and puts them into proposals
  • determine tender strategy prepare tender estimates documentation and proposals
  • in cooperation with your colleagues in the commercial department the account management team and the different Product Market Groups identify and develop differentiating commercial propositions to solve client needs taking an outsidein perspective.
  • cooperating with the technical and operational department
  • collect feedback from the usage and maintenance of our vessels and equipment in the field to support Royal IHC in further improving its products
  • accurate administration in the ERP (IFS) and other systems used in Royal IHC
  • identifying promising markets and opportunities

Your Profile:

  • You easily adapt to change and have a proactive personality
  • Fluent (speech & writing) in Hindi and English. Other languages a pre but not a necessity
  • A vocational or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering Shipbuilding or another relevant technical discipline
  • >10 year of experience in the maritime industry and preferably in the dredging sector
  • Sharp eye for external developments and ability to transfer these in concrete sales opportunities
  • Willingness to travel >50 of your time
  • You have excellent communication skills as well as conceptual and analytical thinking capabilities
  • Demonstrates ownership drive passion and creativity. You have a high energy level and you are a selfstarter.
