Position Overview
McCallie Associates Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Alutiiq LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Application Engineer who will design develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure the functionality performance and reliability of applications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies plans and test cases to validate application functionality performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with software developers to identify troubleshoot and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to streamline and scale the testing process.
- Serve as Tier 3 support for escalated application issues providing deepdive analysis and resolution in collaboration with technical teams.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including installation guides user manuals and support playbooks for use by Tier 1 and Tier 2 field support engineers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance testing efficiency issue resolution and user experience.
- Assist in deployment planning and postdeployment validation to ensure successful implementation of application updates and releases.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in application engineering software testing or related technical roles in a DoD support role.
- Strong proficiency with automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g. Selenium Postman JUnit Python PowerShell).
- Indepth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Proven experience diagnosing and resolving complex software issues in a production environment.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to gain and retain Top Secret Clearance.
Pay range: $140000 to $160000 per year
