Job Summary
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional nonpartisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Precinct Services department is seeking a strategic detailoriented and decisive individual for the auxiliary fulltime position of Project Lead.
Reporting to the Capital Planning and Development Manager (Manager) the Project Lead is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of capital infrastructure projects including providing direct oversight and direction to supporting project team members. Contributing towards the LongTerm Capital Infrastructure Renewal Plan for the Legislative Assembly the Project Lead will liaison with many personnel and departments working on Precinct and will responsibly update and report out on project details. Projects are primarily focused on longterm asset maintenance rehabilitation upgrades heritage restoration construction environmental remediation safe passage and redevelopment of the BC Legislative Precinct. The Project Lead is responsible for monitoring budget oversight and effective management of projects from initiation through to successful completion and serves as the main point of contact for consultants contractors and vendors. The Project Lead will plan and partake in many stakeholder engagement activities that will contribute to the success of the overall department.
