Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary: Up to 31600
Hours: 40 hours per week fulltime

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the daily operations of their welcoming and inclusive nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated early years professional ready to step into a leadership role while still working closely with children aged 05.

Set within a beautifully designed setting featuring ageappropriate rooms and a dedicated outdoor play area the nursery encourages exploration creativity and childled learning. The Deputy Manager will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager and ensuring the delivery of outstanding care and education.

What Were Looking For

  • Level 3 in Early Years (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in a nursery or early years setting with some leadership responsibilities
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to high standards and inclusive practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the daytoday running of the nursery and act as the designated lead in their absence
  • Lead and mentor staff ensuring high standards of practice across the team
  • Oversee planning and delivery of EYFSbased learning and care
  • Monitor and assess childrens progress ensuring accurate recordkeeping and effective communication with families
  • Promote a safe nurturing and inclusive environment for all children
  • Support staff development through coaching training and reflective practice
  • Build strong partnerships with parents carers and external professionals
