River Oaks Hospital a distinguished 126bed psychiatric facility situated in the New Orleans Louisiana suburbs is actively seeking a Psychiatrist for our Inpatient Chemical Dependency programs. As a leading private psychiatric hospital catering to adults adolescents and children River Oaks is home to The New Orleans Institute a trauma treatment program of national acclaim. Over the past four decades we have built a legacy of superior care in treating a wide range of conditions including acute psychiatric illnesses dual diagnosis detoxification from alcohol and traumarelated disorders compulsive behaviors and eating disorders.
Position highlights/duties:

- Position duties include; admission evaluations daily care of assigned patients in the programs treatment team leadership and interaction with administrative and clinical staff
- Shared weeknight and weekend call
Requirements:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Psychiatry required. Must be comfortable treating Chemical Dependency populations; BE/BC in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is preferred but not required.
- Active LA license or ability to obtain a license
