Global Dimensions is currently seeking a Field Service Tech III for positions in Aberdeen MD.
The mechanic services inspects maintains and repairs Amphibious Combat vehicle equipment and ensures minimal interruption to test and operations. The mechanic provides technical assistance during testing troubleshooting repairs to include battle damage repairs deprocessing storing the vehicles.
Requirements - Secret Clearance; Interim Secret to start.
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
- Communication skills: Communicate with FSR: Vehicle diagnosis Repair time Parts required other technical observations and vehicle repair requirements. Teamwork. Ability to work under pressure. Present a positive image of self and companys products and services. Work effectively with differing customers and cultures. Courtesy and tact is a significant part of the job in the exchange of information within the department and project team.
- Experience Required: Must have at least 2 years Amphibious Combat Vehicle maintenance and operational experience to include land & swim. Must have at least 2 years Cursor 16 Engine experience and training. Must have at least 2 years Allison 4800 series experience & knowledge. Knowledge of military maintenance systems (all levels of repair). Knowledge of appropriate technical manuals and engineering data. Must be able to interpret and use all types of engineering drawings and schematics. Detail understanding of system troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience Preferred: Proficiently use all types of hand tools shop tools including micrometers depth gages and finish gages. Use all types of power tools lifting devices carrying or support equipment in a safe/sure manner.
- Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent or relevant Associates degree or military school training; plus additional 4 years work experience in the mechanical/electrical/electronic field of relevant military products.
- Education Preferred: Marine Corp Occupational: 2141 AAV Repairer 2147 LAV Repairer or 3521 Automotive Maintenance. Knowledgeable in the operations of and proficient in maintenance activities and troubleshooting of the AAV7A1/LAV or other Combat Vehicles.
