Job Summary
French Immersion Preschool/Kindergarten teacher. Instruct 100 in French adhering to the French Ministry of Education with an emphasis on French language stories songs alphabet numbers music art dance and physical exercise. May coordinate and teach in after school and summer camp programs for preschool through elementary school students

Responsibilities
Develops lesson plans to stimulate and develop mental progress as well as provide a well rounded day of activity for preschoolchildren. Extinguishes or lessens inappropriate behavior and redirects children to appropriate actions by applying child guidance techniques to help children learn to manage their own behavior. Provides art work and craft projects for children to develop appreciation and joy of creation. Oversees teacher aides to interpret behaviors and ensure they are working appropriately with children. Teaches and leads children in singing and finger plays to help them develop memory verbal skills and a love for music. Assists children with physical necessities i. e. daily nutritional needs toileting of preschoolers medical emergencies etc. to give proper care and where appropriate facilitate development. Cleans and decorates the classroom by dusting and vacuuming to provide a clean environment and display what the children are doing as well as show their development. Interacts with parentsand/or guardians to discuss concerns daytoday problems suggestions etc. to alleviate concerns and maintain a harmonious relationship.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in child development education or a related field; two years experience teaching or planning and directing a childrens educational or service program or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated human relations skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. Masters degree preferred.
