EverAbility Group have a long and proud history of providing services for people with disability across Western Australia and Tasmania. Together our team of nearly 200 staff and over 500 volunteers support our growing group of diverse services.

Our services at EverAbility Group include:

VisAbility our specialised service supporting people with blindness or vision impairment.

Guide Dogs WA and Guide Dogs Tasmania our iconic service raising and training life changing assistance dogs.

Kites Childrens Therapy our early intervention support advice and solutions service transforming the lives of children and their families living with disability or developmental challenges.



Description

About the Role:

Reporting to the Community Engagement Coordinator Tasmania youll play a key part in expanding our presence across Southern Tasmania by supporting fundraising activities managing relationships with key stakeholders and organising community engagement events that support our mission.

Youll also play a role in strategic event delivery assist with the management of the Mini and Model Dogs Collection Program in Southern Tasmania and help grow and support a vibrant network of volunteers. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide lifechanging services to Tasmanians with vision impairment.

This is a 0.4 FTE role for the Collection Dog Program (South).

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with schools community groups corporates and other external partners.
  • Promote the work of Guide Dogs and VisAbility through events and local partnerships and help identify new donors and fundraising partners.
  • Help coordinate and run presentations awareness events and fundraising initiatives in collaboration with the Community Engagement Coordinator.
  • Assist in growing and managing relationships that support our fundraising goals.
  • Support the creation and delivery of educational sessions to raise awareness of our services and programs.
  • Help recruit and support our amazing Program Volunteers!
  • Keep records of stakeholder interactions and event outcomes to help us measure our impact and refine our approach.


Skills And Experiences

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven experience in community engagement and/or partnership building
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Confident in public speaking and delivering presentations
  • Resultsdriven with a passion for expanding the organisations reach and community impact
  • Organised proactive and collaborative
  • Available to work flexible hours including occasional weekends or evenings for events

Required Compliance Documentation

  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Vulnerable People check (NDIS endorsed)
  • Valid Drivers licence
