Job Summary Project Safe 417 (PS417 is a dynamic partnership between SafeNest and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) in which SafeNest provides onscene crisis support for survivors of domestic violence. PS417 relies on volunteers to respond to these calls. The PS417 Manager oversees all aspects of the PS417 domestic violence and sexual response program serving as the vital link between SafeNest law enforcement agencies volunteers and community partners. This position manages the 24/7 support hotline leads a team of trained volunteers coordinates with LVMPD and NLVPD and ensures program compliance while promoting community awareness of domestic violence and sexual services. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish) highly organized relationshipfocused and passionate about supporting survivors through crisis intervention and community collaboration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Management & Oversight - Oversee and manage the PS417 support hotline operations ensuring highquality service delivery.
- Develop implement and maintain comprehensive training programs for hotline staff on domestic violence and sexual protocols in accordance with PS417 requirements.
- Monitor program effectiveness through weekly performance reports and metrics analysis.
- Stay current with legal procedural and best practice changes related to domestic violence and sexual services within the PS417 framework.
Staff Development & Support - Provide ongoing mentorship and technical support to PS417 hotline staff.
- Address questions concerns and challenges faced by team members in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain training materials resources and protocols for staff reference.
- Collaborate with the Director of Volunteerism to effectively integrate and manage volunteer resources.
Law Enforcement Liaison - Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and law enforcement agencies including LVMPD and NLVPD.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with police department representatives at various levels.
- Compile and distribute comprehensive monthly reports to LVMPD captains and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate information exchange and coordination between PS417 staff and law enforcement.
- Attend community events alongside LVMPD and NLVPD representatives.
Community Outreach & Partnership Development - Represent SafeNest at community tabling events alongside partner organizations.
- Engage proactively with community partners to strengthen collaborative relationships.
- Monitor and participate in community events that raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual .
- Serve as Spanishspeaking media representative for press media and radio opportunities.
- Attend coalition meetings to enhance collaborative efforts between SafeNest and partner organizations.
- Identify and address service gaps between SafeNest and community partnerships.
- Develop strategies to improve service integration and referral processes with community partners.
Administrative Duties - Respond promptly to inquiries and directives from Executive leadership and Director regarding PS417 programs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of program activities challenges and successes.
- Generate weekly and monthly statistical reports to track PS417 service metrics and program outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for program enhancement and expansion.
Volunteer Management & Development - Recruit retain and oversee volunteers for the PS417 program across Las Vegas and North Las Vegas.
- Implement strategic volunteer deployment to maximize coverage and service effectiveness.
- Lead monthly volunteer meetings to discuss program updates challenges and successes.
- Address volunteer concerns and questions in a timely and supportive manner.
- Utilize BetterImpact software for comprehensive volunteer management and tracking.
- Conduct comprehensive training for volunteers including:
- Domestic Violence Academy curriculum
- NewOrg system operations and protocols
- Hotline response procedures and best practices
- Provide direct supervision to volunteers during active PS417 response situations.
- Develop and implement volunteer retention strategies to maintain a dedicated volunteer base.
Compliance & Quality Assurance - Ensure all PS417 services remain compliant with relevant regulations laws and organizational policies.
- Participate in regular performance evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
- Document and address any service delivery issues or protocol breaches.
- Recommend procedural updates based on emerging research legal requirements and field best practices.

- Must have Nevada license and auto insurance.
- Must be able to drive to calls in the field using a personal vehicle with Metro; mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate.
- Must have a smartphone capable of downloading and operating a dispatching app.
Work Environment and Other Requirements: - The office is located at SafeNest headquarters.
- All calls are in the field with Las Vegas Metro law enforcement officers in direct contact with a person who has just experienced domestic violence.
- The noise level in the work environment varies.
