Position provides medical health and safety services to employees within established protocols and administers medication when necessary. The nurse is responsible for the immediate treatment of personnel due to illness and injury. Following any workrelated injury the nurse calls the injury into the facility TPA so that a First Report of Injury can be completed and shares this information with HSE. The Occupational Health Nurse regularly performs a variety of additional duties including: scheduling preemployment/post offer physicals including blood work vision testing and drug screening; ordering and maintaining sufficient quantities of necessary medical supplies; and maintaining employee medical records. The OHN coordinates the completion of OSHA and Workers Compensation reports and performs special projects as assigned. A current state Registered Professional Nursing License is required for this position.
