As a Lead Business Intelligence Developer you will be responsible for leading the design development and implementation of interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements define key performance indicators and transform complex data sets into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Dashboard Development:
Design develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations that meet the needs of stakeholders across the organization.
Ensure dashboards are userfriendly visually appealing and provide meaningful insights into business performance.
Data Analysis and Modeling:
Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to understand data sources perform data profiling and prepare data for analysis.
Create and optimize data models and data extracts in Tableau to ensure high performance and efficiency.
Requirements Gathering:
Engage with business leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements understand business processes and identify key metrics and KPIs for reporting.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop solutions that meet those needs.
Best Practices and Standards:
Establish and enforce best practices for Tableau development including design standards data governance and performance optimization techniques.
Conduct code reviews and quality assurance to ensure highquality deliverables.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Guide a team of BI developers and analysts providing technical guidance mentoring and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with other teams such as data engineering IT and business intelligence to implement endtoend reporting solutions.
User Training and Support:
Train endusers on Tableau dashboards and reporting tools ensuring they understand how to utilize the data effectively.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing dashboards and assist users as needed.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor the performance of dashboards and reports identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
Address any data quality issues ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data displayed.
Stay Abreast of Industry Trends:
Keep updated on the latest Tableau features trends in data visualization and best practices in BI development.
Explore new tools and technologies to enhance the organizations data visualization capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Information Technology or a related field.
Current Active Tableau Certified Architect OR Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification
5 years of experience in data visualization and business intelligence with a strong focus on Tableau development.
Expertise in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server including experience with Tableau Prep and Tableau Online.
Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation with experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Oracle etc..
Strong analytical skills with a datadriven mindset and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present findings and influence stakeholders.
Experience in leading teams and managing projects with a focus on delivering highquality results within deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with big data technologies and data warehousing concepts is a plus.
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data analytics is a plus.
