GEs Power Conversion & Storage business part of GE Vernova provides electrification systems that are critical to customers power and energy needs for their highperformance applications. We work with some of the worlds major energy maritime and industrial organizations helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization including through our specialist motors drives and control technologies.

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector will ensure that all Quality standards are achieved for both manufactured and purchased products. Providing the final point of inspection for the products and maintaining reports and performance metrics. Raising quality nonconformance reports (NCR) and supporting the problem resolution process including Containment Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventative Actions.

The candidate must possess the ability to solve simple problems provide operable solutions act with minimal direction on their own initiative.

The candidate will work within the current quality team reporting directly to the UK Quality Leader

Responsibilities:

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

  • Approves inprocess production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production.

  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for rework; confirming rework.

  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; inputting data into quality database (SAP).

  • Keeps measurement equipment operating and manages calibration systems.

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures complying with legal regulations.

  • Auditing manufacturing processes where required.

  • Completing NonConforming Reports with root cause analysis.

  • To work closely with production personnel carrying out first off final and random inspections using CMM and FARO Mechanical inspection equipment

  • Provide training and guidance to inspect using best practice.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

  • Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role.

  • A keen eye for detail and a resultsdriven approach.

  • Familiarity with quality measurement equipment CMM FARO Laser and Arm

  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and inspection methodologies electrical and mechanical.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office.

  • Ability to obtain UK security clearance to SC level.
