Job Description
Overview:
The Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (CASD) Outpatient Therapist is responsible for the clinical assessment mental health treatment and clinical care of children adolescents and their families for clients of CASD. This individual is responsible for the ability to use individual group family and child guidance and parentchild therapy modalities appropriately flexibly and creatively. The CASD Outpatient Therapist will also possess the ability to provide interventions in the school setting natural environment and other community facilities. This individual will provide culturally competent services in all areas.

Essential Functions:
- Assists in developing specific realistic and measurable treatment goals and objectives.
- Accurately assesses and documents client presenting problems history symptomology mental status and diagnosis. Prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner.
- Employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations.
- Remains current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare and collaborates consistently with team psychiatrist.
- Coordinates client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care.
- Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards.
Education Requirement:
Masters degree from an accredited university or professional school of Counseling Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy required.
Licensure Requirement:
- Appropriate Ohio licensure required. Must remain current in required licensure and clinical or other training as required.
- Independent license or satisfactory progress toward independent licensure required.
- Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and positionspecific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients families peers and community representatives.
Experience:
Experience providing and managing culturally appropriate and traumainformed behavioral healthcare to children adolescent and families required.
