About Monarch E & S Insurance:
Professional Ins. Executives/ Monarch E&S a division of SPG Insurance Solutions (Monarch) is a rapidly growing and successful P&C insurance wholesaler and managing general agency our branch office is in Texas. This Monarch E & S Branch is one of many branches located across the country. We sell exclusively to retail agencies with a focus on small to midmarket E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.
About the Position:
Responsible for managing underwriting and assisting our marketing team in promoting & sustaining profitable personal lines business growth.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain loyal relationships with insurance agents and brokers to create business placement opportunities
Develop and maintain underwriting relationships with insurance carriers by demonstrating indepth personal insurance knowledge and adherence to underwriting guidelines both with E&S and Standard markets
Recognize acceptable business opportunities through underwriting prequalification process
Successfully negotiate market placements of new and renewal business
Meet and sustain targeted revenue goals
Coordinate resources to accomplish account specific objectives
Assume ultimate responsibility for the successful completion of all account tasks and details on account portfolio
Motivate and educate coworkers blending leadership and technical skills
And others as assigned
Education Work Experience & Knowledge:
Active Property and Casualty License required
Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge considered
Substantial and relevant experience in a personal insurance brokerage or underwriting environment including wholesale brokerage experience
Demonstrated understanding of personal insurance coverages and relevant excess and surplus lines forms understanding of both admitted and nonadmitted markets
Trusted working relationships with carriers and carrier underwriters
Highest level of customer relations sales management and negotiation skills to generate profitable results
Highest level of interpersonal skills to facilitate team building and resource management
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook
Proficient in Carrier Rating Portals
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $45000$48000 plus commission. This compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level.
