Job Summary
Clinical Oncology Pharmacist LeukemiaQualifications
Responsibilities:
Serves as the pharmacy champion and liaison for the MGH Leukemia division
Serves as an integral member of the Leukemia Care Team
Understands and responds to multidisciplinary role group pharmacyrelated needs
Actively supports Patient Safety Culture and Just Culture the Medication Safety process and continuous Quality Improvement
Supports our organizational mission to provide the very best in care through direct patient and medication management and treatment planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary care team
Optimizes the treatment plans available for leukemia treatment though design management and optimization of Beacon Treatment Plan Templates
Serves as disease state expert and manages offlabel chemotherapy requests and nonformulary requests
Supports our Teaching & Learning programs through precepting and/or training of students PGY1 Residents and PGY2 Oncology pharmacy residents and new employees
Complies with all policies and procedures
Develops maintains and optimizes policies procedures guidelines and monographs through the MGH P&T Oncology Subcommittee
Supports Pharmacy Department through active participation in Pharmacy Collaborative Governance Committee
Supports MGH Cancer Center Network through participation in Key Cancer Center Committees
Direct support of Pharmacy operations including order verification processing checking and dispensing for patients
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
A PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience.
Licensed to practice pharmacy in Massachusetts
Board Certification in Oncology required within 18 months of hire
Meet Preceptor requirements as outlined in the MGH Residency Preceptor Responsibilities Credentials and Development Policy
o New preceptors will complete a Preceptor Development Program
PREFERRED:
A PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Graduate
o Work experience may be considered in place of PGY2 Pharmacy Residency
