Facilities Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a motivated Facilities Maintenance Worker to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills a solid understanding of maintenance procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. As a Facilities Maintenance Worker you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe clean and functional environment for our employees and visitors.
Location: Houston TX
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including but not limited to repairing plumbing systems electrical systems HVAC systems and other building equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance and repair needs.
- Respond promptly to work orders and resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting carpentry and basic landscaping.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders repairs and inventory.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance and repair supplies.
- Assist in coordinating and overseeing external contractors when needed.
- Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure the security of the facilities.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Worker or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures including plumbing electrical HVAC and general building repairs.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Solid organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
