Job Description

As a lot Attendant at Tom Gill Chevrolet one must be dependable organized and a proactive team player. One must take ownership of ensuring the lot is presentable wellorganized and easy to navigate for customers and team members. One must embrace the company values contribute to a positive environment and support the entire sales team and staff in providing a seamless and memorable experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organization and presentation of the lot in the following areas

    • Showroom: consistent presence of new vehicles as directed
    • All display pads: consistent presence of new and used vehicles as directed

    • Front lot: both new and used vehicles (including Certified PreOwned As Acquired and commercial vehicles as needed)

    • Side lot: new vehicles (including deliveries and PDI)

    • Back lot: used vehicles going through reconditioning and commercial vehicles as needed

    • Detail: ensure the maximum amount of commercial vehicles are parked on the detail lot at all times

  • Coordinate FTC Buyers Guides and Disclosures for used vehicles

    • Assess Track that Car for all vehicles ready for lot

      • Check to make sure they have not sold and pictures are uploaded

    • Once confirmed print buyers guide attach to bottom passenger side interior of windshield and park on the front lot in designated spots

      • All Warranty vehicles within 5 years and 60k miles

      • Only Dealer Warranty vehicles within 8 model years and 80k miles

      • As Is vehicles over 8 model years and/or 80k miles

    • Print and attach As Acquired and CPO disclosures to necessary vehicles

  • Shuttle vehicles

    • As requested shuttle vehicles for detail luxcare pictures service etc.

  • Complete the delivery and checkin process for all new vehicles

    • Verify receipt and perform damage inspection on new vehicles delivered

    • Remove shipping materials and park vehicles in the designated area

    • Coordinate and communicate the arrival of new vehicles with all parties necessary

  • Block front lot rows

    • Each night before leaving use new trucks to block off the entry and exit of all vehicles on the front lot (includes the front of each row and all accessible gates throughout the lot)

    • Each morning upon arriving move new trucks to allow the entry and exit of all vehicles on the front lot

      • If new vehicles have been delivered over night that need to be checked in coordinate help with service to move vehicles immediately

  • Execute PDI process

    • Check for new vehicle PDI folders on daily basis

    • Ensure all new vehicles in PDI folders are parked in their designated spots

    • Ensure the only vehicles parked in PDI spots genuinely need a PDI

    • File new vehicle folders in respective files once finished

  • Conduct outofstate inspections with sheriffs each Tuesday and Friday

    • Retrieve titles from title clerk and cross check vehicle availability with titles

    • Gather vehicles and place titles in an appropriate manner for the sheriffs to inspect in an orderly fashion call sheriffs to let them know number of inspections

    • Once they arrive complete out of state inspections with sheriffs

    • Retrieve check from office staff and give to sheriff

    • Return all titles and receipt to title clerk vehicles to their designated spots on the lot

    • Once able train for and conduct inhouse inspections as needed

  • Start vehicles

    • Start all vehicles on front lot on a weekly basis to ensure healthy battery life make sure they have gas and address any issues necessary

  • See something do or say something

    • If a vehicle is dirty clean it

    • If a vehicle is out of gas put gas in it

    • If a vehicle is in the back and should be in the front move it

    • If a vehicle needs attention please communicate with necessary parties

  • Assist Inventory and Sales Managers as needed on a daily basis

As a Lot Attendant you set the tone for the customer experience by ensuring the lot is impeccably organized vehicles are ready for viewing and logistical tasks are handled efficiently. Your efforts directly contribute to the smooth operation of our dealership and ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression of Tom Gill Chevrolet.
