We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a onetime nontreatment Veteran Disability Exam in Memphis TN.
- Employment Status: Full Time
- Compensation: This is an hourly position paid byweekly.
- Schedule: Full Time MondayFriday 8:00am4:00pm.

Requirements: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) must have and meet the following:
IF required by state of operation: Maintains unrestricted and in good standing certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
Phlebotomy Certification from accrediting training course when required by state requirements.
Active/Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
Valid U.S. Drivers License and ability/willingness to drive between work locations.
Minimum of four 4 years of relevant clinical experience (i.e. Primary Care Family Care Internal Medicine Occupational Health or Urgent Care).
Willingness to complete CAOCH and Drug Testing Collection Certifications.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Veterans Service Members and Federal Employees.
Previous experience performing EKG PFTs ABIs venipuncture lab processing etc.
Current certification in Audio and Drug Testing Collection.
Job Summary:
- The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will assist the Practitioner and Physician Assistants in performing onetime nontreatment compensation and pension exams for Veterans.
- The CMA will perform ancillary services such as:
- Labs (labs will be sent to LabCorp or Quest for testing)
- Pulmonary function tests (PFT) (training provided for all staff performing PFTs).
- Anklebrachial index (ABI).
- Electrocardiograms (EKG) (EKG manuals are available on location so staff is familiar with the equipment used.
- Greet the Veterans and show them to the exam room.
- Report any NoShows.
- Effectively manage office functions (answering the phone supplying inventory etc. and maintain the facilitys tidiness.
- Other duties as assigned.
