Job Description

Description

Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Operations and Student Life to lead and enhance the operational and student life experience at our vibrant community. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational functions of the school while also fostering an enriching and inclusive student life environment. The Director of Operations and Student Life will collaborate with faculty staff students and parents to promote a safe engaging and nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

Work closely with student life to build and sustain positive partnerships with students and their families to promote a positive school culture

Employ technology to improve the quality and efficiency of operations and management

Develop and maintain data and communication systems to deliver information for parents and school community.

Develop and manage productive relationships with the school administration faculty and staff.

Seek to make school services and operations more effective for each student teachers and staff families and the community

Create and sustain positive collaborative and productive relationships with families and the community for the benefit of students.

Build and sustain productive partnerships with public and private sectors to promote school services and operations.

Engage in regular and open twoway communication with families and the community about the school services

Maintain a presence in the community to understand its strengths and needs develop productive relationships and engage its resources for the school

Develop and provide the school as a resource for families and the community

Advocate publicly for the needs and priorities of students families and the community.

Operations

Institute manage and monitors operations and administrative systems and processes that promote the mission and vision of the school.

Know comply with and help the school community understand local state and federal laws rights policies and regulations as it relates to food and transportation.

Manage the school master calendar including space utilization requests and changes.

Collaborate and coordinating with the school administration the hiring of vendors for events and programs

Oversee and manage all facilities rentals including the calendar communication and contracts.

Strategically manage resources assigning and scheduling facilities support to responsibilities that optimize their professional capacity and workload

Coordinate with the Facilities Director for facilities requests as it relates to school events and program.

Coordinate all campus parking and collaborate with Dean of Students for student parking.

Student Services

Seek acquire and manage fiscal physical and other resources to support student services.

Develop and administer systems for fair and equitable management of student services.

Develop and manage relationships with outside vendors for school events and program.

Oversight of student orientation in collaboration with school administration counselors and student life to enhance the experience for all students and families and build community

Create systems procedures and protocols for the operations related to transportation food service and other associate responsibilities.

Provide recommendations to student services budget annually.

Annually review food service and transportation program and make recommendations on any changes in providers implementation and services to the school administration

Manage the school food service program by coordinating and communicating with the service providers. Coordinating communication with families regarding food service and transportation

Manage the onboarding of student services for new families including database management

Manage the transportation services and requests

Maintain financial documentation contracts and communication with vendors and service providers as it relates to the school.

Coordinating and updating web content on student service programs such as transportation food service health etc.

Community Collaboration

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between students parents faculty and administration.
  • Engage with the parent community to foster relationships support initiatives and promote school events.
  • Oversee student clubs organizations and affinity groups to ensure inclusivity and engagement across diverse student populations.
  • Actively participate in school life and be visible at community events representing the school and fostering relationships.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in education operations management or related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in operational management preferably in an educational environment.
  • Proven track record of effective leadership and team collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with a diverse community.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement events successfully.
  • Knowledge of best practices in student life programs and services.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and systems.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming school culture.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for school events.
