Intern Molecular and Biological Research Division
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic student pursuing a technical degree in a fouryear program or an advanced degree at a college/university to join Agilents Life Sciences and Diagnostics Markets Group (LDG) as an Intern. This is an hourly paid position with a maximum work period of twelve months primarily during the summer. Please note that no academic credit will be received for this position.
About the Role:As an Intern in the Molecular and Biological Research division you will support salesrelated activities for highperformance Genomics and Pathology endtoend workflows. These workflows include consumables capital equipment services and software with a focus on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Synthetic Biology and Immunohistochemistry. You will gain handson experience navigating various steps of the technical sales process with an emphasis on pipeline generation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Qualifying sales prospects and generating active leads.
Conducting data mining from various funding sources and social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn) to create target customer lists for academic and commercial accounts.
Executing product linespecific projectbased lead generation activities under the guidance of local account managers.
Performing internal administrative functions to support sales team activities.
Qualifications
Years Completed: Junior or Senior year in a 4year degree program. Exception for a highly motivated Sophomore.
Enrollment in a fouryear bachelors degree program in Life Sciences or Biological Sciences.
Availability to commit 40 hours per week during the summer and 810 hours per week during regular semesters.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong motivation with excellent selfmanagement organizational and prioritization abilities.
Geo Location: East Coast
The intern pay rate for this position is $29.04 $30.85 /hour plus eligibility for paid holidays and medicalbenefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay isdetermined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevanteducation or training. During the hiring process a recruiter can share more about the specific pay rangefor a preferred location.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
