Position Summary

Description:

The Construction Project Manager Supervisor will work in a hybrid environment appropriate to ongoing activities and supervisor duties including in the field office or remote. A telework agreement will be developed upon start to outline specifics.

As a key member of our supervisory team you will oversee a team of design and construction project managers working on all phases of construction project management from concept through . Construction project managers reporting to this position work on a wide array of complex projects in the office and field and collaboration is key. You will supervise the team and work in partnership with other departments to develop and implement capital projects solve emergencies and strategize short and longterm solutions related to design and construction. You will oversee workflow and processes standards policies and procedures for the capital team.

Here are a few of the projects that you would be involved with: Open Project and Capital Facilities Plan.

How to be Successful in the Role:

Bring your strategic and problemsolving skills and guide your staff by using your strong program and project management skills. We are looking for a team player and great communicator who will work with consultants contractors elected officials other jurisdictions the general public and across division and department boundaries. As a strategic leader with a proven track record and developed strong skills in capital planning you need to exhibit a solid technical understanding engineering and permitting contracting for A/E and construction budgets and the construction process for public work.

Your Future in this Role:

The department strives to make sure employees feel supported and experience job satisfaction by providing training and reviews. Leaders are also encouraged to pursue advanced certification under the Pierce County Leadership program and are offered other opportunities for professional growth and training. All supervisors are required to complete Pierce Countys leadership Bronze Level Certification.
