About the Role
You may be aware that in November 2023 Nottingham City Councils Chief Finance Officer issued a report under Section 1143 of the Local Government Finance Act 1988 because in his professional opinion the council wasnt able to deliver a balanced budget which is a legal does not mean however that the council is bankrupt or insolvent.
The financial implications of the Section 114 report have been balanced against the councils statutory duties particularly in relation to safeguarding and homelessness and the funding of this permanent post has been approved by the councils Spend Control Board.
At Nottingham City Council we are dedicated to providing housing solutions and support to our citizens. Housing Solutions plays a pivotal role in preventing homelessness and ensuring thatall citizens in housing need or crisis receive the assistance they require. We are currently looking for a motivated and empathetic Housing Casework Officers to become valuable members of our statutory homelessness team.
