Job Description
St. Mark School located in Catonsville Maryland is seeking qualified candidates for multiple early elementary instructional assistant positions for theschool year. Instructional assistants work directly with the classroom teacher and provide support for students both in and out of the classroom. This is a full time position.
Essential Functions
- Work with small groups or oneonone with students for enrichment or remediation
- Monitor student work and activities as directed by teacher
- Assist with classroom procedures and transitions
- Provide administrative support for the teacher for classroom and instructional needs
- Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal car line recess Cafeteria etc.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional empathetic and timely manner
- Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Participate in retreats school committees and inservice learning opportunities as applicable
- Work collaboratively with other teachers staff and administration
- Integrate technology effectively into a 21st Century classroom
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
- Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite Series Google Classroom Smartboards etc.
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
- Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of a state and federal background check completion of
- VIRTUS Training and completion of all necessary paperwork.
Range: $20 Hourly
