Job Description
Job Title: General Surgeon (MS DNB)
Location: Bhiwani Haryana
As a General Surgeon with an MS and DNB qualification you will play a crucial role in our healthcare facility providing expert surgical care and leading surgical teams to deliver the highest quality of service to our patients. Your expertise will not only contribute to lifesaving surgical procedures but also enhance the overall patient experience and outcomes in the surgical department. You will work closely with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans perform complex surgeries and provide postoperative care. Your ability to manage surgical teams and communicate effectively with patients and their families is paramount to ensuring a supportive and informative environment. This role is integral to maintaining the hospitals reputation for excellence in surgical care and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and diagnostic tests to determine surgical need.
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures according to best practices.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care ensuring optimal recovery.
- Collaborate with anesthetists nurses and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
- Maintain detailed patient records and document surgical occurrences and outcomes.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding surgical procedures and care.
- Train and supervise residents and junior staff in surgical techniques and protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest surgical techniques technologies and medical advancements.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations safety standards and ethical practices.
- Develop and implement preoperative care protocols for patients.
- Conduct emergency surgeries when necessary.
- Manage complications arising from surgeries effectively and promptly.
- Work with hospital management to improve surgical units and patient outcomes.
- Participate in surgical outreach programs to enhance community health.
Required Qualifications:
- MD/MS in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Diploma of National Board (DNB) in General Surgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a surgical role.
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in general surgery.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Proficiency in managing surgical instruments and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership abilities in a surgical environment.
- Ability to work in highpressure situations and make quick decisions.
- Commitment to patient care and ethical practices.
- Experience in surgical research and publications is an advantage.
- Willingness to update skills through continuous education and training.
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
