Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Syracuse NY
Setting: Occupational Health Clinic
Schedule: PartTime (Monday Wednesday 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Compensation: $43000 $45000 annually (based on experience)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Benefits: Parttime benefits package paid 30minute lunch no overtime


Position Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN to join our Occupational Health Clinic in Syracuse NY. This is a parttime role with the potential to expand to a fourth day (Thursday) in the future. The ideal candidate will be proactive respectful to providers and committed to delivering highquality patient care. You ll be responsible for both clinical and occasional administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for medical evaluations: obtain vitals review medical history current medications allergies and update charts in EPIC.

  • Assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures including:

    • EKG Spirometry Audiometry Dynamometry

    • Phlebotomy Urine Collection Snellen Eye Exams Hemoccult

  • Support frontdesk operations as needed (checkin/out phone coverage).

  • Collaborate with Albany office MA on form processing if required.

  • Monitor and maintain medical equipment: calibration temperature logs supply levels and expiration dates.

  • Conduct previsit assessments and manage external record requests.

  • Ensure accurate chart preparation and test result retrieval.


Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program or 3 years of relevant clinical experience.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

  • Experience in a medical office setting required.


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.

  • Phlebotomy experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
